WK 2 UWOHS Full Day Level 6 (12-15yrs) Aug 20-24

Location: Thompson Arena

On-Ice: 3 hour daily

Age: 12-15 years

This program has been designed as a positional camp for Forwards and Defence. Players will focus on refining skating technique through challenging skating drills focusing on; quick stops and starts, explosive quick starts forward/backward , turning, pivoting, transition turns, lateral movements, cross over’s. Pucks will be added emphasizing puck control, passing and receiving passes in motion, shooting in motion creating open ice with and without the puck. Positional play will be taught and reviewed; odd man rushes, net play, positional responsibilities, body checking, reading the play, roles on breakout, offensive zone attack and much more. Players will also participate in some off-ice conditioning sessions, team games, daily swim, video session (analyzing players skating) and much, much more.
